Kathy from human services presented the FY25-26 human-services block-grant income and expenditure report, reporting total expenditures of $7,197,853 for the period 07/01/2025–06/30/2026. She said the majority of that amount is state funding, with $328,053 federal and a county match of $302,699; the state allows retention of up to 5% to carry into the next fiscal year, and the county will divide that carryover among mental health, intellectual disabilities, and adult services for targeted projects such as respite and long-term residential supports.
Kathy also outlined several contract renewals: George Junior Republic (total $5,200; county portion $240), Eagle Ridge Personal Care Home LLC ($233,629; county match $10,777), Oasis Life Care LLC ($179,184; county match $8,260), Pierstar LLC ($63,000; county match $2,904), Center for Community Resources ($50,000; county match $231), and an EBN LLC early-intervention contract ($46,000; county match $4,600). She presented an addendum to Oasis Life Care adding $3,500 to increase availability of psychiatric and psychotherapy services (increasing the contract maximum to approximately $206,684). Commissioners reviewed the amounts and agreed to place multiple items on next week's consent agenda as appropriate.
The board moved to approve the block-grant report and took procedural steps to add several mental-health and early-intervention items to a future consent agenda.
