The Town of Woodbury Board of Selectmen unanimously approved a modified job description for the Director of Community and Senior Services at its Sept. 29, 2026 special meeting. First Selectman Paul Zulpa said earlier email exchanges among the three board members produced a collaborative draft; after discussion the board adopted the modifications by a 3–0 vote. The motion to approve, moved by Zulpa and seconded by Selectman Karen Reddington-Hughes, passed unanimously.
Key edits agreed by the board included correcting the reference from "commission on seniors" to "Commission for Seniors," removing a reference to a Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging takeout meal program while retaining the congregate and senior dining meal program responsibilities, consolidating two community-partnership items into a single liaison entry, and adding explicit mandatory-reporter language to the Licenses and Certifications section so it reflects "mandatory reporter obligations under applicable law." The board also specified vision-requirement ranges (close and distance vision: one-third to two-thirds of the time; peripheral vision: one-third; depth perception: one-third; ability to adjust focus: one-third to two-thirds) and agreed that color vision was not applicable.
