Speakers from Aurora Unidos CSO and other community groups urged the council to vote down Resolution 26‑1354, the proposed lease renewal for Key Lime Air at Denver International Airport. "Approving this resolution would renew this lease for Key Lime Air and their subsidiary, Denver Air Connection, at Denver International Airport and give them free reign to continue operating deportation flights on behalf of ICE," said Yosalin Corales.
Veil Mondragon, chair of Aurora Unidos CSO, said the organization has campaigned against Key Lime Air since 2025 and warned that allowing commercial presence at Concourse C would generate revenue the airline could use to fund deportation flights. Ben Bergstrand raised safety concerns about Key Lime Air operations and described alleged pilot safety violations; he framed the lease renewal as a moral and safety issue and urged the council to act despite federal constraints.
No council vote or staff response on the resolution is recorded in the public comment session. Speakers cited a prior council action to block an expansion and asked the council to remain consistent with proclamations honoring indigenous and Hispanic/Latine heritage.
