Roderick Marshall addressed the council to highlight the value of volunteering and local workforce pathways. "I volunteer with several or nonprofit organizations in the community, and I just wanna express how helpful it is for a person in general," Marshall said, and he noted the Excel Center's adult high school has produced more than 100 graduates since its 2024 start.
Marshall framed volunteering as skill building with community and employment benefits and encouraged continued support for programs that create opportunities for adults seeking diplomas and job readiness. His remarks were thanked by the clerk and closed without council comment during the public comment period.
