The Chair opened the meeting saying, "So this morning, we're gonna, I guess, start with the survey," and led the committee through a line-by-line review of the draft questionnaire.
Committee members agreed to add a clear introductory statement identifying the questionnaire as produced by the Webb Housing Committee appointed by the Town of Webb Town Board. A Staff member reported adding the proposed text to the introduction: "The survey was developed and is being disseminated by the Webb Housing Committee appointed by the town of Webb Town Board consisting of the town supervisor, 1 board member, and it should be 5 private residents." The group corrected a membership-count error (five private residents plus two board members) and agreed that transparency about who authored and will analyze the results should appear up front.
The committee discussed timing and outreach and settled on a target launch in early November with a default three-month collection window and the option to extend if response rates are low. Members emphasized the committee will seek a "nod" from the town board at the October meeting and will reconvene to finalize edits before launch. The Chair and Staff member also discussed making analytics available as results arrive so the committee can monitor participation.
