The CAP Metro board on Sept. 28 approved a resolution adopting the agency's fiscal year 2027 operating and capital budget and the associated five-year capital improvement plan. Kevin Conlin, CAP Metro's chief financial officer, told the board the total FY2027 budget is "$701,460,005 for operating and capital expenses."
Conlin said the budget is structurally balanced, incorporates priorities set by the board over recent months and projects the agency will meet reserve requirements next year. The resolution followed months of committee briefings and a staff-led budget process; a copy of the full budget document was made available online to the public and the board.
Board member Bangles moved the resolution, and board member Ross seconded. The motion passed unanimously on the dais, with remote participants also recorded in support. The board did not identify any amendments during the recorded discussion.
