Washington County Planning Agency posts Sept. 29 agenda, lists five GML 239 referrals

The Washington County Planning Agency will meet Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. in Room B214, Building B, 383 Broadway, Fort Edward, the meeting memo states. "The public may view the meeting via the Washington County YouTube Channel," the memo from Debra R. Prehoda, Clerk to the Washington County Board of Supervisors, says.

The agenda, circulated Sept. 23, 2026, lists GML 239 planning referrals from four towns. Items include a use-variance request in Fort Edward, a site-plan application in Salem for a chestnut processing facility, two related referrals in Kingsbury for a proposed relocation and modernization of a hot-mix asphalt plant, and a Town of Jackson proposal titled "Local Law No. 5 of 2026: Utility Scale Solar Energy Facilities Law." The memo provides a link to referral documentation on the county website for members and the public.
