Superintendent Dr. Sheffir said auditors were on-site as of Sept. 14 to conduct the district's 2025-26 audit and that the audit team will return later in the year to present findings. She said the district's goal is to complete audit submission before the Thanksgiving holiday.
Dr. Sheffir described ongoing referendum outreach in advance of the Nov. 3 ballot, saying the referendum seeks $29 million to fund a comprehensive athletics complex, a greenhouse and a standalone building for the district's alternative school. She said she would be attending regional advocacy meetings and accompanying representatives from congressional and senator offices on school visits to show building conditions to federal and state staff. "I will be joining you all'we'll be attending our regional advocacy meeting this coming Thursday at 5:00 pm," she said, adding that district staff had received homework assignments for that meeting.
