Amanda Irvin, the county’s quality and planning manager for public health, briefed the board on preparations for the department’s public health accreditation review. She said interviews are scheduled for October 7 and will use a hybrid format—some in person and some on Zoom—so as to limit operational disruptions.
"Our public health accreditation is coming up on October 7th and we have a few members from our committees that have volunteered to speak…they chose for a hybrid model," Irvin said. Irvin credited staff, including Lauren Couch and Kim Owenb, for creating streamlined documentation and dashboards that reduce the time supervisors spend on audits and chart reviews. Committee members thanked those who will participate in required interviews.
The board did not vote on policy in this segment; members offered thanks and encouragement to staff for the accreditation effort and for sharing quality processes with other counties.
