A local rider urged CAT to increase weekend frequency and align weekend headways with weekday service on high-use corridors.
Elliot Lloyd of 708 Morgan Street told the board that when a route drops from a five-minute expectation to 20 minutes he and other passengers—including workers who must arrive early—face long waits in summer heat. "By increasing weekend schedule at minimum to match the weekday service, CAT could benefit from Knoxville's growing nightlife," Lloyd said, adding that predictable weekend service could provide safer trip options for people leaving nighttime venues and benefit workers with nonstandard hours.
Lloyd said he would circulate a short survey to board members after the meeting asking whether they planned a week without driving this October, framing it as a way to better understand board travel choices and encourage ridership empathy.
