Prime Minister John Viseno used his UNGA address to press on several urgent foreign policy issues.
On Haiti, he warned that rising violence threatens scheduled December elections and called for urgent, full deployment of a gang suppression force and support for a Haitian‑led political transition.
On Cuba, Viseno said restrictions on fuel have severely damaged the Cuban economy and renewed his call for lifting the economic blockade. He also urged removal of Cuba from a list of state sponsors of terrorism (as cited in his remarks).
Addressing Palestine, Viseno said that longstanding failures to secure Palestinian self‑determination have produced grave consequences. He stated that recent conduct must end: "The genocide must end. The apartheid must stop. End the occupation and decolonize Palestine," he said, framing these statements as obligations under the UN Charter.
These assertions were presented as the government's positions; the speech recorded no formal Assembly response during the address.
