MassHealth officials said they will fund and train nearly 50 community-based organizations, work with Healthcare for All and provide a multilingual communications toolkit to help Brockton residents navigate upcoming eligibility changes. The state pointed to a centralized resource at mass.gov/massalthmemberchanges and a short online screener to help people see whether work requirements apply. "We really encourage anyone who works with Mass Health members... to download that toolkit and share it," Elizabeth Tang said.
Tang noted August statewide mailings approached 310,000 notices and that in Brockton about 8,000 members are expected to be subject to new rules; the presenter said the state will run outreach in the top six to nine languages and include a babble sheet with mailed notices that lists translation phone numbers in more than 20 languages. The state also said it will roll out provider-facing status information in January so clinicians can see if a patient has an outstanding renewal.
