Chair (speaker S1) said the city will begin putting up fall decorations on the square and is planning trunk-or-treat likely on Saturday night for Halloween. He announced a band (Anthony Hammonds Exit 62) scheduled for the 25th and said staff will try to schedule a food truck for that night.
For the city's Dec. 5 "Christmas on the Square" event, the council has reserved two horses and a buggy and paid a deposit; the chair said he would seek sponsorship to restore an ice-skating activity that tourism handled last year but cannot fund this season. Council members discussed logistics and volunteer coordination to encourage local participation.
