Chief Dousay reports monthly statistics and recognizes officers who aided a fallen resident

Chief Dousay presented the police department’s monthly report to the board at the Sept. 9 meeting and provided an update on the month’s statistics. In presenting the report he recognized Officers David Nelson and Shannon Giroir, who assisted a Jackson resident who had fallen in his yard and was unable to call for help.

The minutes note the officers were present at the meeting and that the department’s routine patrols resulted in that citizen assist; no additional operational data, incident numbers, or follow-up actions are recorded in the transcript.
