Fiscal court renominates appointees to airport, housing, tourism and other boards

The Fiscal Court approved a series of appointments and reappointments during its Sept. 18 meeting. The judge moved to renominate Frank Hatcher and Kendall Wright to the Pikeville–Pike County Airport Board, then nominated incumbents and new members to the Housing Authority (Marvin Hensley; Gypsy Cantrell; Eugene Gibbs; Roxanne Blankenship; Dave Adams; Danny Michael Newsome). The motions were seconded and passed by roll-call vote.

Separately, the court nominated county representatives Judy Patton and Debbie Huffman to the Pike County Tourism Convention and Visitors Bureau and appointed four electricians (Darren Compton, Jerry Deskins, Christopher Coleman and David Pinson) as authorized county electrical inspectors. The court also reappointed Randall Osborne and initially appointed Shannon Deskins to four-year museum terms. Commissioners emphasized these are voluntary, unpaid appointments.
