Votes and actions at a glance — Sept. 21 Dubuque County supervisors meeting

Key board actions taken Sept. 21:

• Rezoning: Approved rezoning (Case 081426) of 5.592 acres for James and Penny Wolfacool from A1 to A2; zoning administrator directed to update the official map and auditor to publish amendments.

• Plats: Approved final plat of JTAC Subdivision Plat 2.

• Grants: Authorized chair to sign FY27 Tom Hancock Memorial EMS service agreements totaling $125,000.

• Personnel: Approved hiring of deputies, assistants and clerks and approved a promotion in the Secondary Roads Department.

• Roads/Traffic: Approved two-way stop at Budd Road & Derby Grange Road; approved right-of-way documents for culvert replacement on Buncombe Road; approved Amendment No. 2 to the FY27 Secondary Road 5-year construction program.

• Intergov Agreements: Approved snow and ice removal agreements with the cities of Rickardsville and Sheryl for winter 2026–27.

• Appointments: Appointed Bridger Hawkinson to the Airport Zoning Board of Adjustment (term to 02/15/2031); Gracie Green and Caroline Palmer to the Disabilities Council (terms to 06/30/2029); Philip (Phil) Kronkovich to the Investment Policy Committee (term to 06/30/2028).

The meeting also included a presentation by Jason White of Greater Dubuque Development and a work session on mold testing at county facilities; no new ordinances were enacted at this meeting.
