District operations staff presented a broad update on summer construction and technology projects across Rockwall ISD, describing nearly 75 projects started around June 1 and many completed or near completion.
Presenters highlighted major work that included central plant (HVAC) replacements at both high schools, interior LED lighting installations in multipurpose facilities, carpet replacements and performing‑arts updates, roof replacements and raised metal panel roofing at several campuses, security fencing upgrades at middle schools, track resurfacing and lighting improvements, sound system replacements at stadiums and auditoria, parking lot resurfacing, additional parking construction between campuses to improve parent traffic flow, scoreboard replacements and VMS/security camera upgrades. Staff thanked project teams for overnight and weekend work to deliver the projects.
Trustees thanked staff for their work on summer projects and acknowledged the improvements for students and staff. Presenters said remaining work is being scheduled and that many life‑cycle items are underway concurrently with emergency repairs at the aquatic center.
