Zayden Zembree, a MAPS Transition Guide, announced upcoming MAPS events and asked providers to help spread the word.
"September 3rd, we have our East Tennessee provider town hall. It's going to be at noon Eastern or 11 Central," Zembree said. He added that Ashley Lynch and Kyle Howe from CNS will present on policy and procedure. Zembree also said MAPS will host a virtual Maps Mash for participants and graduates on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. Eastern (6 p.m. Central) with interactive games and optional costumes; sign-ups will be through a Microsoft Form.
Kyle Baughman said the ET and Innovation Summit is two months away and that planners are arranging a graduate and peer-mentor panel in partnership with the Arc of Tennessee and ETSU. Staff asked providers to identify graduates and current peer mentors with compelling stories for the panel.
Why it matters: These events are intended to build community among participants and give graduates and peer mentors public-facing roles in summit programming.
