Resident praises American River preservation efforts and urges spay/neuter support

During public comment, resident Helen William Bashaw said the Save the American River Association’s Family Fall Festival served over 500 meals and highlighted the group’s role in preserving the American River Parkway. She also urged pet owners to spay and neuter animals and praised Rancho Cordova’s Whisker Warriors program for helping with costs and pet placement.

Bashaw said she has personal experience rescuing feral kittens and described efforts to raise and adopt them out responsibly, including spaying or neutering before placement.
