Council approves road closures for Oct. 28 'Light the Night' and Oct. 31 Halloween

Council approved two requested road closures for community Halloween events. The first closure is scheduled for October 28 from approximately 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Stout Street between Kentucky and Ohio for an event described as 'Light the Night.' The second closure is for October 31 from about 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Gibson Street between Monroe and Pinkney for a family event organized by the Goddards; both items passed on a motion and voice vote.

Council members said the closures were consistent with past years' requests and received no substantive opposition during the meeting.
