County staff discuss adding water hookup and spray system to wet arena for off-day events

Staff members discussed installing a water hookup and spray mechanism to reduce dust in the arena during off-day events. A staff member raised the idea of using a 'blue firehose' and tapping a hydrant, noting available hose lengths and that "if we got some kind of a spray mechanism" it could wet the arena for those events.

A meeting participant added that such a system "would work perfect to wet the arena down just for these off-day events." Staff said they would look into attachments and who could provide a spray hookup, and noted the plan would require follow-up on equipment compatibility and placement before a public opening.
