Board updates: roads grant planning, playground progress, RTC repairs and fleet maintenance

Board members reviewed a proposed road list and discussed seeking branch road grant funding; Chair said he expects to bring an application to council in September and mentioned a rough estimate of about $600,000 in asphalt work for some roads. He asked staff to collect estimates and pursue the grant application.

Chair also reported park staff installed one new piece of playground equipment at Katie Land but will not open the playground until remaining pieces are in place. He said RTC repaired two fiber hits where cable had been bored through storm sewer; those repairs are graveled and the town hopes to get concrete poured, at least in front of the parade viewing stand. Finally, Chair said a new transmission will be installed on Tom's 2018 truck on Monday to address persistent drivetrain issues.
