Votes at a glance: agenda, contracts, personnel items and Hazel Green land acquisition approved

At the meeting the board moved and approved an amended agenda (addition of item number 6), contractor services as submitted, personnel items, supplemental and discontinued contracts, and the termination of employee number 1 (custodian at Conovia Elementary School) effective Sept. 21, 2026. Each recommendation was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote with ayes recorded on the transcript.

The board also approved an agreement to acquire roughly 272 acres in the Hazel Green / Madison Crossroads area after each board member certified on the record that they had no ownership interest in the property; the motion passed by unanimous voice vote. Staff said the district has discussed the parcel with the Bragg family and will begin due diligence and follow-up communications.
