Alan Wolf, a longtime Antrim County resident, used the public-comment period to describe alleged misconduct by Antrim County Clerk Victoria Bishop and to thank the board for the clarity determinations. Wolf made several specific allegations, including statements he said were revealed during federal proceedings and corrected campaign finance filings, a failure to maintain tax or business records for a radio station, fines collected by garnishment, alleged unauthorized changes to the QVF, and the claim that the Bureau of Elections had removed Bishop's QVF access pending training and a pledge to comply with law.
Wolf told the board: "The Bureau of Elections has found her conduct so egregious that they've removed her access to the qualified voter file until she gets trained and pledges to follow the law." Board members and staff noted that the bureau had taken administrative steps — including training and oversight measures — and that some referrals had been made to investigative authorities; Director Brader said the department had referred materials to investigators and that court orders about previously uncounted ballots still had open questions.
The board did not itself adjudicate the underlying accusations during the meeting. The public comment was recorded in the meeting record and will be part of the factual background if prosecutors, civil investigators or other authorities pursue further action.
