In the director's report, Dr. Forward highlighted recent visits to Dickson County High School and commended the CTE department and students for their work captured in a district blog and website post. She said representatives from the Schools Health and Libraries Broadband (SHLB) Coalition attended and that local staff — including Kayla Fuller and Derek Norman — played instrumental roles.
Dr. Forward also noted ongoing discussions about STEM and career-pathway collaborations with local partners and mentioned a chamber breakfast on Oct. 27 where Creekwood JROTC and choir will participate; retired Brig. Gen. Scott E. Browser (name as transcribed) was listed as the speaker in honor of veterans. She encouraged board members to RSVP through Allison and to support upcoming school events.
The director's report also mentioned ongoing meetings with principals, daycare discussions, substitute staffing concerns and roofing assessments to be presented next month.
