The Clarksville Redevelopment Commission approved Resolution 20 26 R13 on an advertised public hearing and vote to expand the South Clarksville allocation area to include portions of Main Street and South Clark Boulevard.
Staff read the resolution into the record and recommended approval, saying the amendment would provide economic incentives for the Manning Clark development and enable infrastructure improvements previously adopted by the commission. "Staff recommends that the commission approve resolution 20 26 R dash 13, amending the declaratory resolutions for the Clarksville Commercial Economic Development Area," said the staff member presenting the item.
The presenter noted the amendment follows prior approvals by the Redevelopment Commission, the planning commission and the Town Council. There were no members of the public who spoke in favor or opposition during the hearing, according to the record. The motion to approve was made and seconded; the transcript records the outcome as "3 ayes 1 extension," and the chair confirmed the vote and acceptance of the resolution.
The resolution is intended to connect the allocation area with the future Main project and the Colgate property and to allow the commission to provide incentives and undertake related infrastructure work. Staff materials and an exhibit map were shown to the commission during the hearing. The commission did not record additional conditions or amendments to R13 at the meeting.
The commission will include the Baker Tilly financial impact statement and the hearing notices in the public‑hearing record, per a committee member's request.
