Mr. Crawford presented the advertised budget amendments for FY27 and told the board the package would increase the fiscal year by $32,330,000. "If approved, this would increase the FY27 budget by $32,330,000," he said, and then outlined reappropriations, state transfers and capital requests including $6.6 million from VDOT for a roundabout at Route 5 and Duran Road.
There were no public speakers at the hearing. The board moved and approved the resolution on a voice vote (moved by Mister Smith, seconded by Reverend Nelson), and the chair announced the resolution as approved. The amendments include roughly $7.8 million in reappropriated prior-year balances, $6.0 million transferred from state funding into capital paving, $13.6 million of additional capital requests and about $11.0 million of operating adjustments (approximately $10.5 million in special revenue).
