The Oglesby ISD board approved a superintendent contract amendment and a districtwide 2026–27 compensation plan during its Aug. 17 regular meeting.
After returning from an executive session held under the Texas Government Code, the board voted to provide the superintendent $800 per month for rent and to add a Supplemental Retirement Plan to the superintendent’s compensation package. James Seymour moved the contract amendment, and Cody Miller seconded the motion; the board recorded the motion as passed.
Earlier in the meeting the board also approved the broader 2026–27 compensation plan. The transcript records the motion as made by Ronnie Sullins and seconded by James Seymour; for that item the minutes list the tally as "Yea: 5, Nay: 0, Absent: 2." The record does not name which two members were absent for that particular recorded tally. The board did not record any opposing votes on the compensation items.
The approvals came during routine business following updates from district staff on enrollment, athletics and facilities. No public comments were made during the meeting.
