A district presenter told trustees the district's preliminary in-house projection shows that 97% of the class of 2026 met College, Career and Military Readiness (CCMR) indicators as defined by the Texas Education Agency. The presenter described the two district CCMR goals: a 97% attainment rate for the most recent graduating class (preliminary) and a target that 50% of graduates meet CCMR outcome-bonus criteria by May 2027.
"For our most recent graduating class of 2026, our preliminary in house projection is 97% of our seniors met CCMR," the CCMR presenter said while outlining the indicators used for measurement. The presenter reviewed the 11 CCMR indicators (including SAT/ACT/TSIA college-readiness scores, Advanced Placement, dual credit, industry-based certifications, level 1/2 certificates and military enlistment) and explained the district's progress-monitoring strategies, which include CCMR action plans at each high school, multiple testing opportunities and third-party vendor supports for teacher training and student preparation.
Staff noted some recent state changes — such as removal of the Texas College Bridge exemption for TSIA math — and said they will continue to provide multiple pathways for students to demonstrate readiness while reporting final accountability ratings when state data are released.
