Santa Rosa County commissioners approved a package of infrastructure and service agreements during regular business on Sept. 22.
Under economic and tourist development, staff presented a contract award to Griffin Traffic Signals for $826,544 for the SR 87 and Rayham Road signal project (funded through Triumph) and the first‑year renewal of a tourism advertising contract with Paradise Advertising for $950,000; both motions passed without objection.
Operations and safety items approved included acceptance of a state 911 grant, authorization to contract DATAMARK for related GIS services (about $209,807.28 total), and a design contract to McKim and Creed for $397,280.38 for the Henry Street sidewalk and pedestrian bridge (funded in part by FDOT). The board also approved a change order with HDR Engineering adding roughly $84,424 and 424 days for the Holly Landfill final cover work and authorized a task order to Kimberly Horn & Associates for design/permitting for a new 10,000‑gallon fuel tank ($185,000).
All the listed items were presented by staff and approved by the board 'without objection.'
