Diane Carnegie, superintendent of Lake County Schools, opened Part 1 of the district's "Grama Blueprint" series, saying the program will examine "how early choices and academic foundations set the stage for success" for the class of 2027.
"Welcome to part 1 of the Grama Blueprint, where we explore how early choices and academic foundations set the stage for success," Carnegie said. She framed the series as a look at how teachers, clubs, classes and early experiences help students form long-term goals.
The video segment includes three students who described distinct pathways: one pursuing flight training through an EAA chapter and scholarship support; another gaining carpentry and leadership experience through construction classes, Habitat for Humanity and ROTC with plans to enlist in the Marine Corps; and a third taking dual-enrollment courses at Lake Sumter and participating in FSU's Young Scholars STEM program with plans to study mechanical engineering.
Carnegie closed by saying Lake County Schools is committed to helping students "build that foundation" and invited viewers to watch Part 2 next week to meet more students.
The segment aired as part of a district outreach series; it does not record any formal actions, votes, or policy changes.
