Local 4‑H member recounts international exchange to Japan at county meeting

Stephanie Stevens, the county 4‑H coordinator, introduced Kendrick, who described attending shooting‑sports and a four‑week international exchange that included homestays, cultural visits and skills events. Kendrick said he spent four weeks abroad, was hosted by families including a counselor who had lived in West Branch, and brought photos to share with commissioners.

Commissioners praised the experience. One commissioner asked about long‑term plans; Kendrick said he plans to attend MSU and major in finance and that he would continue participating in 4‑H activities when possible. "It was very memorable, and I'll definitely remember a lot of it for my whole life," Kendrick said.
