County staff said the Bear Collins RFQ is currently accessible only via site search and should be moved under a clear menu label such as "News and Events" or "County News and Issues" so the public can find it more easily.
"If I search the website, so like the bear the we're building RFQ, if if I look under news, it's not there. If I look under information or any of your quick links from your menu, I can't find it," a staff member said, describing the difficulty locating the RFQ. The group agreed that the RFQ and related amended documents should be forwarded to the person handling the website and posted under the correct menu location. One participant volunteered to convert or reformat the file if the posted PDF is not ADA compliant.
Staff referenced prior difficulty getting the Bear Collins master plan PDF made accessible, saying Vond had helped to address ADA compliance. Colleagues agreed the office should ensure files posted to the public site open correctly and are labeled under the menus residents would expect so the RFQ and master plan are discoverable by the public.
