Resident urges city to publish full line-item budget amendment reports

Dr. Daniel, who said he has experience as a finance director, asked the council to improve financial transparency by publishing full budget amendment reports with line-item detail and descriptions of changes. He offered sample templates and volunteered to share Excel files and help adapt them for the city's website.

"Maybe these budget amendments that we do actually putting the budget amendment full report out there showing the line item of the expense and the line item of the revenue, the dollar amount, and specific descriptions as to what it was for," he said.
