In the city manager’s report, staff thanked community leaders for participation in the Imperial Foods memorial and listed ongoing projects and upcoming events. The manager said CHROME is on site to begin construction of both clear wells at the water plant and will be on-site approximately 15 weeks to complete that portion; bids for related work will open and awards are projected in early October.
The City Lake Trail clearing and grading is complete and the project remains on schedule for mid-October completion. The manager also highlighted a tribute to John Coltrane on Sept. 23 at the city mural, a movie and food trucks event on Sept. 11, and NitroFest and NHRA events later in September.
