The Chair opened a Howard County administrative hearing on Sept. 23 in an appeal by Mr. Khomsa challenging a Department of Planning and Zoning (DPZ) order about the storage of recreational vehicles at 4335 Roxbury Mill Road. "We are here on administrative appeal 8 3 3 d, an appeal by mister Khomsa from a DPZ order regarding the storage of recreational vehicles on property at 4335 Roxbury Mill Road," the Chair said.
Citing the unavailability of one of the parties, the Chair said, "this case will be continued until November 18 at 05:30PM." The Chair also noted that the Office of Law, on behalf of DPZ, filed a motion to dismiss on Sept. 22 and that "the answer to that motion is due by close of business on October 7." The Chair added that "upon receipt of that answer, I will be issuing a decision and order based on the motion to dismiss."
By setting the deadline for the answer and indicating the decision will follow, the hearing officer signaled that the dispositive motion will be resolved before the scheduled evidentiary hearing on Nov. 18. The Chair closed the brief session by reiterating the new hearing date and thanking those present.
No votes or formal rulings were made at the session; the motion to dismiss remains pending and the evidentiary hearing was postponed to Nov. 18 at 5:30 p.m.
