Committee appoints Carol and Don to interview vendor panel; motion carries

Committee member Chris Weeks moved to appoint two committee members to serve on the vendor interview panel for the RFP that drew four responses; his motion named Carol and Don as the committee representatives, the motion was seconded and passed.

"I'll make a motion to nominate Carol and Don as our representatives on the interview committee," Weeks said during the discussion. The committee then voted; the chair recorded that Tim voted in favor. Melissa Roy had explained the typical composition of the interview team would include staff (the new town manager Paul Cohen, Dave Sharples and Jeff Beck) and two committee representatives.

Members discussed logistics for interviews — whether to interview firms individually or together, availability and the process for distributing electronic copies of proposals — and confirmed the interview panel will recommend an award to the select board after the Facilities Committee completes its review.
