"The purpose of this meeting is to adopt a resolution authorizing the submission of a grant application in the amount of $2,400,000 to the Union County Improvement Authority for the 2026 capital project grant program for the upgrade of the public safety radio communication system and related equipment and acknowledging the statutory compliance and conditional repayment covenants thereof," the chair said when the item was introduced. A motion to approve the resolution was made and seconded; the roll-call vote recorded 'yes' from Mrs. Orman, Javic, Caldwell, Lot, Delgado, Strano, Armstead and Mrs. Yeitis. Council members Mohamd, Rodriguez and Hudach were recorded as excused.
Council materials and the chair's announcement noted that portions of the meeting "may be held in executive session" and that the resolution includes acknowledgements regarding statutory compliance.
