At the Pandella rezoning hearing, nearby property owner Sandy Dold said her primary concern is where any required secondary entrance for the development would be located and urged the county and applicant to avoid routing traffic through the residential area.
"The only really concern I have is what will be will the secondary entrance will be in," Dold said after identifying herself as a neighboring owner with waterfront property adjacent to Hancock Creek. County staff and participants discussed likely locations and explained that, if a secondary access were required, it would more likely connect to Blair or Holly Drive rather than Betmar, because separation and throat‑width constraints make a Betmar driveway unlikely.
Staff also reminded the public that a conventional CT rezoning does not require the applicant to list specific uses up front; a later community meeting at development order permitting will disclose the developer's proposed uses and allow neighbors to give input. Staff offered to provide the list of permitted uses in the North Fort Myers commercial corridor and noted that some more intensive uses would require a special exception and a second public hearing.
