Organizer Angie reported an estimated turnout of nearly 3,000 people for the park's recent car show, with about 350 cars and roughly 120 bikes distributed to children in the community. "We had between um almost 3,000 people come through the park that day," Angie said.
She asked to reserve the park building for the judges on Aug. 7, 2027 and the board approved reserving the building for Aug. 6–7, 2027. Members discussed modest equipment needs identified during the event (for example a portable PA or Bluetooth speaker for bike giveaways) and volunteers and staff offered to identify low-cost purchases before the end of the year.
Separately, board members said the Anderson Town Powwow and Indian Market covered rental fees and that organizers expect to return next year; one attendee said organizers had anticipated 10,000 people and reported that turnout matched expectations.
