Film festival, workshops and concerts slated as arts outreach ramps up

Committee members used the meeting to note several upcoming arts events that the city and local partners are supporting. A representative said the program is hosting a five-day film festival at Casartis in collaboration with the Tamaulipas state arts department, a kumbia workshop, an AI documentary screening and a Latin-jazz concert; the events are free and timed to Hispanic Heritage Month.

Members asked partners to submit flyers and event details to the convention visitors bureau and the cultural-district mapping tool so events are included on public calendars and in promotional maps for the Caminate schedule. Mary Province and other members said the committee will assist in promotion by posting to social channels when organizers provide event graphics and dates.
