Community Development Director Matt Sullivan and Economic Development Director Liz Hannam outlined a broader housing pipeline that extends beyond the Mill Yard parcels.
Sullivan listed projects moving forward: 103 Temple (about 200 units) expected to begin construction in coming months; the Mohawk Tannery remediation is progressing with an update expected at the infrastructure committee; Avery Lane, developed by Tamposi Holdings Company, has opened about 100 fully affordable units; and Maynard Homes phase 1 (roughly 175 units) is underway with a potential phase 2 to follow.
When asked when tenants might first occupy NIMCO units, Hannam said, "we anticipate the construction for that first building will take about 18 months," and if crews begin next spring, availability would be about two years away at the earliest. Staff framed these timelines as estimates that depend on planning approvals, remediation, and final construction scheduling.
