KNA notes upcoming PTSA fundraiser, Seniors game and Relay for Life date

At the May 5 meeting the board recorded several community events and volunteer requests. Bill Troutman reported the PTSA fundraiser is set for Saturday, May 9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the school campus, and that the final Seniors basketball game is scheduled for May 23. Tamra Martin encouraged the KNA to sponsor a team for the Relay for Life event planned at Kauai Christian Academy on Friday, Aug. 21; President Yoshi L’Hote said he would help.

Bino, on the Beautification Committee, thanked volunteers who helped clean the town entrance and said he met with county parks official Lenny Repozo to discuss committee plans. Ben Wellborn reported no progress on transportation projects and said Kilauea roads were not a county-road priority.
