East Longmeadow High School opens for students; pool near completion

Town Manager delivered the project report on Sept. 8 and announced that the new East Longmeadow High School opened its doors to students on Sept. 2. "The new and improved East Longmeadow High School opened its doors to students for the 1st time," the Town Manager said, and thanked the Massachusetts School Building Authority and construction and design teams for completing the project ahead of the school year.

The manager said the pool is nearing completion and the town will host a ribbon-cutting and open house for residents in October after the contractor finishes punch-list work. The Town Manager credited town staff, the school committee and residents for supporting the building program and said crews are finalizing exterior work and landscaping.
