John Nail, Executive Chief of Operations, told the Board that State Route 32 "is taking shape" and the city has shifted traffic to the newly constructed south-side lanes; he said the project remains "on track, for traffic to be on 4 lanes, as intended by the end of the year." Nail also said the Monon Tunnel trail is expected to open by year-end and that resurfacing and reconstruction work on Ditch Road and Eagletown Road was completed as part of the resurfacing package.
Nail said the engineering department will study feasibility for 100 91st Street between East and Grassy Branch, noting some parts of the roadway remain county-owned. He also highlighted street-department self-performed work (strip patching, sidewalks) and reported delivery of two dump trucks ordered in late 2024. The Board thanked staff for flexibility on the special meeting and for progress on the city projects discussed.
