Frank Thomas told commissioners that the LFO calculator application has been rebuilt, is operational on the Administrative Office of the Courts infrastructure, and will be piloted with judicial officers before a broader beta release; an administrative portal will allow MJC staff to add granular LFO line items over time. "The end is near in terms of relaunching the LFO calculator," Thomas said, and staff will seek judicial feedback prior to wider rollout.
On juror paid time off, Thomas said stakeholders including business groups opposed a narrow three-day paid-time-off entitlement and that the Supreme Court recommended assembling a stakeholder work group to develop a model policy for legislative consideration in 2029.
