Park board approves July financial reports after questions on two large invoices

Staff presented campground and parks bills for July and asked whether members wanted line-by-line review. A board member flagged two large payments and asked if they were related to arena roof work or other projects; staff said the payments were to Van Buskirk for arena-related work and material stockpiling. "1 was for $628,000 and some change, and the other 1 was for $434,000 and some change," a member said while reviewing the bills.

After clarifications, a motion was made and the board approved the financial reports on a voice vote. Members asked staff to provide additional explanation for large line items off-line or at the next meeting so the board can understand capital vs. operating expenditures.
