Town staff presented an initial declaratory resolution to remove roughly 43 parcels from the Wind Farms TIF, saying many of the parcels have developed as single‑family homes or are undevelopable green space or right‑of‑way and therefore produce no TIF revenue.
Mr. Pierce explained that removing those parcels "will simplify the tax assessment process for Hendricks County" and that the amendment will follow the same approval timeline as the prior item — Plan Commission review, town council consideration and return to the RDC for a public hearing. Commissioners asked about an "estimated 10 total jobs" cited in Exhibit F; Mr. Pierce said the figure is a rough estimate required by statute and part of the economic development plan information submitted with the amendment.
The commission approved the resolution by voice vote. The amendment will next proceed to the Plan Commission on Sept. 28 and then to council on Oct. 8 before returning to the RDC for a confirmatory hearing in November.
