President Anastasia Urtz told the joint Community College and Finance committees that fall enrollment at Adirondack Community College increased compared with last year and that housing and athletics remain active parts of campus life. "Enrollment total is 2001," Urtz said during the update.
Urtz and staff provided a more detailed Sept. 3 snapshot showing enrollment up by 55 students and 782 credits compared with the same point in 2025, with Washington County representation rising about 8.5%. Residence-hall occupancy was reported at 315 residents, including 44 year-round residents and 20 J‑1 or internship residents during summer 2026. Urtz noted that the college expects additional registrations in the coming days.
The college announced several new academic offerings for fall 2026: Business Analytics; Education; Journey Worker — Construction Management; and Psychology (the latter flagged as SUNY Reconnect-eligible). New student-facing supports include ASAP (Accelerating Student in Associate Programs), a Level Up e-sports lounge, and expanded intramurals and clubs designed to improve retention and campus engagement.
