Staff to re-advertise Canals PD; Harmon Townhomes advances to second reading

Planning staff updated commissioners on active zoning cases, telling the commission that ZC-26-0016 (Canals Planned Development) is being re-advertised and that staff is beginning that process but does not yet have firm dates. "I just wanted to let y'all know that we're we're in the process of getting that case back to city council," staff said.

Staff also said ZC-26-001, the Harmon Townhomes project, "did get approved to the 2nd reading," and that the case prompted discussion about traffic, neighborhood design and overall programming — topics staff expects to continue at second reading. Commissioners and staff agreed some issues will be settled before the council's next hearing and that staff will keep commissioners informed about scheduling and any material updates.
